Priority Work: Help build two new Habitat homes in our Mariposa community from the slab up. Work may include framing, sheathing, siding, painting, interior finishes, trim and punch-list items. Volunteers may also assist with flood repairs and rebuilds throughout Kerr County as needs arise, but new construction is the current priority.

After the devastating July 4, 2025 flood, Habitat Kerr County shifted much of its staff and construction capacity to disaster recovery and helped 30 families return home. As a result, our traditional affordable homeownership program slowed significantly. We recently selected six family-partners and are eager to help them achieve affordable homeownership.

A second flood struck on July 16, 2026, creating even greater need for both affordable housing and disaster repairs and rebuilds. RV Care-A-Vanners support will help us continue serving flood-impacted families while moving these new homes forward.
